At ORIGAMI Online Store, we will introduce the “DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)” service for DHL shipments to the United States for orders placed on and after 10:00 AM (JST) on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
Previously, after your order was shipped, DHL notified you of the amount of customs duties, and you were required to pay the duties separately. With the introduction of the DDP service, customs duties and import-related fees are included in the total amount paid on our website, so you will not be required to pay any customs duties or taxes at the time of delivery in the United States.
Please note the following in advance:
・Orders placed before 10:00 AM (JST) on Thursday, February 26, 2026 will be shipped under DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) terms. Customs duties and handling fees are not included in the payment made to our company. These charges will be billed by DHL upon arrival. Please make the payment directly to DHL and receive your shipment accordingly.
・Depending on the inspection process at customs and the decision of local customs authorities or the delivery carrier, you may be requested to submit additional information in some cases.
・Additional charges may apply if there is incomplete delivery information, a change of delivery address, or procedures required due to the recipient’s circumstances.
・Even with DDP, customs clearance and delivery times are not guaranteed.
For orders shipped by DHL from our store to the United States, all orders will, in principle, be handled under the DDP service. You can therefore place your order with confidence.
For orders to countries and regions other than the United States, we ship by EMS (Express Mail Service). In the case of EMS shipments, any import-related charges such as customs duties, import taxes, and value-added tax (VAT) are the responsibility of the recipient. If you are requested to pay such charges by the local customs office or the delivery carrier at the time of delivery or during customs clearance, we kindly ask that you make the payment directly.
