On Friday, December 13, 2024, the ORIGAMI CUP 2024 Iran was held for the very first time.
A total of 90 competitors gathered, making it a highly exciting and intense event.
The host of this year’s ORIGAMI CUP, the Iran Coffee Competition (ICC), was established in 2019 and began official operations the same year.
Their team consists of professional baristas and coffee experts and operates as the only independent specialized organization within Iran’s barista community.Formed by café owners, baristas, roasteries, and other coffee professionals passionate about the industry, ICC is dedicated to promoting coffee culture, education, and industry development through collaboration and unity among its members.
Through its various activities, ICC helps introduce Iranian baristas to the international stage and showcases the richness of Iran’s coffee culture to the global coffee community.
The winner of this year’s competition was Kasra Varaqaei (@kasra.varghaie).
